We did not evolve to raise our little ones alone, to have partners around for weeks - if lucky - before they return to work and this tiny helpless being is relying solely on you with you having no-one to rely on.
So many specialists exist to support new parents from doulas, to health visitors, Midwives to maternity nurses. You can get support with your infant feeding journey - something I'm very passionate about since discovering the impact that a lack of support has on breastfeeding rates in the UK!
You don't have to do any of it alone.
Here are just some of the things I can help you and your growing family with:
Practical, hands-on support with all things babycare related e.g. bathing, nappy-changing, feeding
Evidence-based, up-to-date advice about how to safely care for your baby (including what you do and do not need to to buy…)
Specialist, Gentle Sleep Coaching support based on realistic developmental expectations of your little ones sleep
Infant Feeding support - guiding you in how to safely and confidently meet your feeding goals!
An extra pair of hands, listening ear and caring support for you as you new parents in the early days, weeks and months
Making excellent cups of tea
Signposting (and even accompanying you) to other specialists support beyond my expertise
Help is never a bad investment, and not everyone has the luxury of a village of family and friends around them to provide that.
I offer a range of guidance for new parents, including tailored advice and hands on support.
